Is the Obama Administration Falling Apart?

March 5th, 2010

Since the inauguration in January, President Obama and his administration have had the weight of the world on their shoulders. But is the administration falling apart amidst the constant pressure, and important issues lingering above them?

If that wasn’t enough, now the American people are now speaking out with their concerns. Overwhelmingly the people have spoken, and it doesn’t look promising for the Obama administration. According to a poll released by CNN/Opinion Research Corp Tuesday, the findings show that 51% of Americans disagree with Obama on important issues.

That is up 10% since the month of April. This may be a setback for President Obama’s agenda, but his popularity with the people could be used to further push his ideas. The Presidents humble personality that plays well with individuals of this country whether you disagree with him or not. On the other hand his popularity shouldn’t be the only factor that allows him to achieve his agenda. The President’s agenda should be what the majority of the people believe is beneficial for the country, not a popularity contest.

Meanwhile Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is being viewed rather favorably among the people, but then again she’s contributing to policy work, not tough political decisions. With controversial issues like healthcare reform and the economy. People will be more than happy to support a proposal that seems to have potential, but if the proposals remain stagnate, there may be no hope in the future for this administration. The GOP may be waiting to pounce come the election of 2012.
